In a world where “sustainable” too often means a nice logo and a murky supply chain, we keep it simple: know the fishermen, know the waters, do the work ourselves.

Here’s how we do it—and why we won’t do it any other way:

5 rules of the can

5 Rules of the can

  • No co-packers. No outsourcing. No fakes.

We do it ourselves, because canning is an art.

  • No trawlers. No pillaging. No exceptions.

If it came from a trawl net or a mega-fleet, it’s not for us.

  • Underdogs welcome.

We seek out the underutilized, the underappreciated, and help fishermen build new markets for their catch.

  • Wild only. Alaska only. Local always.

Wild only. Alaska only. Local always.

  • Fishermen first.

We buy straight from the docks or small Alaska processors — no middlemen, no nonsense.
