Smoked Salmon Dip
Here's a totally customizable, easy-to-whip up Smoked Salmon dip. We used a few special, but completely optional, ingredients to level up this recipe. We added a little crème fraiche and lemon zest and juice to help balance the richness of the dairy and salmon. Our favorite secret ingredient is some shiro miso to help boost the umami! Serve this with any crackers or chips or veggies you like. This is a perfect recipe to riff on so feel free to improvise!
Pro-Tip: always make sure you use the salmon skin and juices in our cans! There is so much flavor there and you don’t want to miss out.
Serves 2-4
Ingredients
2 cans of Wildfish Smoked Sockeye
8 oz of cream cheese
4 oz of crème fraiche
2tbsp of shiro miso
Zest of one lemon
Juice of half a lemon
Fresh cracked black pepper
Salt to taste (we used out alder-smoked salt)
Chopped greens of 2-4 scallions
Half of a red onion, diced
Crackers, chips, veggies for serving
Technique
Mix everything together (except for crackers/chips/veggies) and taste for seasoning. Adjust however you’d like! This is a perfect chance to mess around with your preferred ratios or add some hot sauce, or some chopped capers, or chopped pickles- go nuts! This should keep in the fridge for a few days so its also a super easy recipe to make ahead of time.
