What's in the box

Let’s talk pantry clichés for a moment. Georgians stockpile peaches in syrup. Idahoans keep healthy stores of big beautiful potatoes. Mainers revere their jugs of maple. But head north to Alaska and sockeye salmon is what you'll find on the shelves.

At our remote island Cannery, we have our hands on everything from king to coho, but in Klawock sockeye is a true taste of home.

In a nutshell

Brilliant red sockeye, alder-smoked and unapologetically wild. it’s alaska in a tin—rowdy, timeless, and ready to crash any table you set.

Caught Wild. Canned Wild. Made With Care In Alaska.

Our sockeye is gillnet and seine caught in the cold waters throughout Alaska, from Bristol Bay to Prince William Sound to Southeast, then hand-cut and canned Klawock—our tiny town at the edge of the Pacific.

Then we do something extra:

We smoke it over natural hardwood, layering rich, savory depth onto an already unapologetic salmon. Bold, vibrant, and unmistakably Alaska, it’s the taste that defines the salmon world. Each tin is small-batch, slow-pressure cooked to hold on to sockeye’s deep-red color and firm, meaty flake.

Would really like to love it

Everything about the canned salmon is great albeit the portion could be bigger. However, it is simply just too salty to the point of coughing like when you put too many olives in your mouth at once. It really overpowers the fish and drowns out the flavor. It’s unfortunate too bc the fish is beautiful. If you’re sensitive to salt or on a salt restricted diet which we are not this is not for you. Everything else about the product is fantastic but salt kills it

Hi DJ, if our salmon is to salty for your tastes you can always add it to something. I love a tin of our salmon on top of a salad with balsamic vinaigrette or turned into a dip and made into a sandwhich.
