Was hands down some of the best smoked and canned salmon I have ever had. Will be buying more and I highly recommend trying it ..

Finally got ahold of the elusive king. I’ve had the other types of Wildfish salmon but not their king salmon. Just got my shipment of this and their white king the other day and just had to try it.

The box is the typical Wildfish box. Cool design with some of my favorite sayings from a tinner of fish.

The smell when opening the tin was nice and Smokey with a little salmon to it. There really is no comparison between real alderwood smoked and smoke flavoring.

In the can were two smaller pieces and one big ol’ chunk. The fish itself was a lot more tender than I was expecting. Flaked apart with just the smallest amount of pressure. The salmon run just ended in Alaska and this fish did taste fresh. The smoke and other ingredients gave it the great Wildfish taste and no fish taste just wonderful salmon. Not even the skin imparted any real fishiness just great added fat.

All in all another wonderful tin from Wildfish cannery. I hope everyone who wanted some of the king salmon got some. I’ll be reviewing their white king salmon soon so keep an eye out.

By far the best canned salmon I've ever had and even in the top 3 for fresh smoked salmon. Amazing quality and you can tell that the amount of care put into the fish and the process was top notch. Is it more expensive than most other canned smoked salmon? Yes, but you get what you pay for. This is the fillet mignon in a world full of ground chuck canned salmon brands.
