What's in the box

*This year's supply of geoduck was extremely limited. Act fast because we might not see these ugly creatures again for a while.*

It's big. It's weird. It's delicious.

Our Smoked Geoduck (pronounced "gooey-duck") was born of an idea from the diver himself, and when those doing the heavy lifting ask, we answer! This giant, rare clam is wild-harvested by hand from the seafloors neighboring our home on Prince of Wales Island, but due to a lack of domestic market demand, nearly all of the harvest is shipped live overseas. We hope to change that, and thanks to strong relationships with our local diving fleetand adventurous eaters like you!we've been able to create and help nurture a new market here at home for nature's most curious clam.

In a nutshell

Smoked geoduck—Alaska’s freak-show clam. Giant, ugly, tasty. Diver-harvested, smoked, and canned. We did the work, you get the weird. Eat it or don’t.

Our geoduck is diver-harvested by hand from the seafloors outside Craig, Alaska, then prepared and canned in Klawock—our tiny town at the edge of the Pacific.

Then we do something extra:

We smoke it over natural hardwood, giving this giant clam a golden hue and savory depth. Each tin is slow-pressure cooked in small batches to keep the clam’s naturally firm texture and mild, ocean-sweet flavor. Curious, rare, and delicious, it’s Alaska’s most surprising bite—part tradition, part adventure, all packed into a can.

Handpacked on Prince of Wales Island label
  • 24g of protein per can

  • Crisp bite

  • Diver harvested from wild beds

  • Conservatively & sustainably managed by ADF&G

  • Divin' & Diggin'

Smoked Geoduck (pronounced “gooey-duck” btw) was our first non-salmon product born of an idea from local diver, Curtis Brown. Nearly all the geoduck that get water-blasted out of the seafloor are shipped live to overseas markets, especially to China. But, the geoduck with cracked shells cannot survive the journey. These bad mamma jammas deserve better!

We buy the geoduck with imperfect shells so none of these majestic mollusks are wasted and hardworking fishermen like Curtis can extract value from all the geoduck they catch.

  • Unlike most of the geoduck harvested in the Pacific Northwest, all of ours comes from wild, naturally occurring, and sustainably managed clam beds. Diver and deckhand travel to the geoduck harvesting grounds, located a few hours from the harbor, when the seas are calm enough and the weather is at least tolerable during the long, cold, dark months of October through May.

We're proud to be a true craft producer, and this special tin is testament to the skill we’ve honed over all these years.

Dangerously delicious

Wonderful flavor, fabulous broth. I served it on fried potatoes and it was a superduper treat.

This is special stuff

There is a reason some things are limited. They are too powerful for everyday use! Don't mix these tasty little nuggets with anything else. Let all the natural flavors be purely enjoyed.
